Character Name: Pietro Maximoff
Age: Approximately 26 (born 1989, died 2015)

Canon Abilities: To make it short, he has Superhuman Speed, able to run almost but not quite at light speed. Technically he has superhuman speed, agility, and stamina. The technical details have to do with his time being studied in Sokovia. The Mind Stone inside the Scepter Loki once had was used to 'grant' powers, though some might say it simply promoted the powers already hidden deep within. It's said he has been clocked running around 400 meters per second (894.78 miles per hour/Mach 1.17). It is thought that he conducts an electrostatic current throughout his body allowing him to run off into long lasting bursts of speed, causing his body to heat up from the friction caused, but his body handles it well. Even in ice cold he can keep warm when moving. For easy reference I will leave the Powers and abilities section linked here.
Inventory: Pietro will have nothing on him other than his 'uniform' that he died in, though I am saying it's lacking in the holes and blood!

Option 1:

1. Has your character always believed in magic? Do they have something influencing their perspective on the supernatural/metaphysical/spiritual from their past? How do they feel about magic?

I would like to say he has always believed in magic, but there was a long period there where he went from being a young boy believing in fantastic things and sitcom situations, to having to grow up instantly and run with revolutions. While watching your people die from bombs and gun fire the concept of fantasy and magic is harder to believe in. Though there were 'superheroes' appearing more and more often in the world, none of them were there to help them at that time. Magic might have, for a time, seemed like a silly childish thing. At least until someone went around Sokovia rounding up people and looking for volunteers to gain 'enhancements'. While everyone else died trying to get those enhancements, he and his twin sister Wanda were granted powers. While his does not feel like 'magic' to him but a simple superhuman ability, his sister Wanda was the ideal display of 'magic'! On top of that he has seen other displays of magic since gaining his own abilities. While he doesn't look at it as some 'fantasy' any more, he's also not 'surprised' by it either. He's always been quick to believe in strange and fantastical things however, and he trusts what he sees with his own eyes most of all. While there is bound to be more types of magic out there, he doesn't care to learn a lot about it. So long as he doesn't have to deal with it, or it's not affecting him or his sister? That's what matters.



2. What song would a siren sing to your character to lure them closer? Why?

While I am unsure it is exactly a song that would entice him to come closer in the standard reasons, the song Run Boy Run by Woodkid is something I can see his attention being caught by. Other than the lyrics simply fitting a Speedster so very well, there is a lot of it that also fits his life, or the feel and vibe of his life. It fits well enough to the point that if a Siren was singing it out and it caught his ear, the words would actually catch his attention. It is also worth mentioning that if you slowed that song down and did it in a feminine voice on an almost enchanting whispered tone, it would be haunting and almost frightening. His curiosity would absolutely be peeked by the words coming to his ears. Run boy run, the world is not made for you. They're trying to catch you. Running is a victory and beauty lays beyond. The sun will be guiding you. Run boy run, they're dying to stop you. The truth is a prophecy. Break out from society. In general, he would follow, not for the stereotypical reasons of 'oh pretty girls singing me to them with enticing tunes and lusty things' but more for the curiosity of why it is being sung, and why does it feel so fitting to his life. The speedster feels like he does have to run, not just because he can and because he's so fast, but also to get away from things in his life, his past, and troubles. So a siren singing this song would peek his interest for sure. Then again, he likes the pretty girls, so a siren could be absolutely mute and wave at him and he'd dash over to give a flirty smile, so the song might be pointless.



3. If there's one person your character would follow to another realm, who would it be and why? If there's no one, state that and explain why.

The simple answer? Wanda. His twin sister. There is no one in this world or any other that he would follow in a instant other than his twin. Twelve minutes older than her (as he likes to point out), he tries to be the 'older brother' and protect her with all his might, even when he knows most of the time she doesn't need a protector. It's just how he is. He would do anything for her, so if she wandered off to another realm, he would go with her, no questions asked. They were ten when they lost their parents, and thus she was the only person in the world he had for most of his life. They always had each others back, no matter what. While she was the smarter and more considering of the two, he was the faster and brasher one, willing to step in front of a problem to shield her. Even if his entire family was still alive, he'd still be more likely to choose his twin. Even if he found a good woman or man to fall in love with, he might very well still choose Wanda to follow. They had a bond that was only broken through his death, and even then he influenced her life so much she suffered deeply for his loss. Had it been the other way around, he too would have lived a very rough life.



4. If you'd like pixies to change one event in your character's life, what would it be and why?

This is a tough one, because on one hand he would want to ask that his family was still alive. That his mother and father never fell through the hole in their home to their deaths. That the bombs never fell on their home, or even that they never fell in their town, or country at all. That there was no war or attacks! It all seems like a noble kind of change or request to make. It would allow him to to save literally everyone, not only in his family but his entire country. If there was never a war or battle there, would there even be a reason for the attacks? Would his parents still be here? Would he and Wanda have grown up differently? Would there ever be a reason for anyone to die, or any country to fight another, or for fucking robots to attack and destroy his entire country?? On the other hand, if he could just request that his own life did not end, that would... be easier. Wouldn't it? While he would want to save his family as well as his country, the very first thought that would spring to mind was 'I want to live, so Wanda will not be alone'. He loves his parents with all his heart, but he barely knows them now, because he was so young when they died. While his country is also well loved, what is to assure that they will not be attacked again anyhow? What if it all happens again later anyhow? He wouldn't have his abilities, nor would Wanda, because there would be no reason to go gain those abilities. And if his parents survive back then, or if his country is safe now, what's to say something else wont take it later. At least if he didn't die and was still alive, Wanda wouldn't be alone in her fight. He could support her and the life she might have carved out for herself later. He might even have found something for himself. If he were to live, he could at least do some good in the world as well, right? Maybe he could have become an actual Avenger and helped others who were put in bullshit situations like he had been. So while the first desire feels more thoughtful and would help tons of others, his first actually request would be to just continue his life as it should have continued, taking the Bad that might have followed... with the Good that would have come as well.
